Sovereign Military Order of the Dragon has organized the donation of an important quantity of clothes and shoes to the families in need in Kosovo and Metohija together with the Fire department of South Wales. The action in United Kingdom was coordinated by Mr. Steve Logan, the station commander at Caerphilly and Rhymney fire stations and the leader of Blazing to Serbia project. Part of the humanitarian aid was donated by the Red Cross of Sremska Mitrovica. Distribution of humanitarian aid covered ten most remote villages within Municipality of Novo Brdo, the poorest municipality with Sebian majority at Kosovo and Metohija – villages Labljane, Gornje Kusce, Koretiste, Zebnice, Jasenovik, Straza, Titince, Pasjak, Prekovce and Bostane. Humanitarian aid is distributed to the returnees in most need, socially vulnerable children, as well as to the single parents without any incomes. Out of 25 families receiving aid, only two are with one child, whilst others have five and more children.
It is our sincere pleasure to point out that the major of Municipality Novo Brdo, along with the head of municipal department for return and communities, Ms. Jasmina Denic, joined the actual field distribution of the humanitarian aid.
Sovereign Military Order of the Dragon, along with its local partner “Drustvo srpsko – ruskog prijateljstva Kosovsko Ognjiste”, in cooperation with interested donors will continue with the similar activities of support to the most vulnerable children within the entire area of Kosovo and Metohija throughout 2015.
