Kosovo and Metohija Aids – July 24th, 2013

Mr. Momcilo Arlov, as the official representative of the Sovereign Military Order of the Dragon, accompanied by Mr. Milorad Arlov, President of the Organizational Committee for Assistance to the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and Mr. Petar Djokic, Minister of Labor, War Veterans and Disabled Persons Protection, during laying down of the fundaments for the business and residential facility in the Kosovska Mitrovica residence area of Bosniak Mahala, which will combine space for the Republic of Srpska Cultural Center along with the space for eight apartment units for social cases and offices of the Inter-municipal Center for Social Work.

This project is financed by the Republic of Srpska Government in the total amount of half a million convertible marks and it is estimated that facility will be finalized during the next 100 days.

Mr. Milorad Arlov stated at this occasion: “It is my wish, as it is a wish of many Serbs, that river Drina will never run out of its water, but that it will disappear as a border.”

During a separate meeting with the President of the Organizational Committee for Assistance to the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, Mr. Momcilo Arlov, while expressing full support to this project, especially in the part concerning the establishment of the Republic of Srpska Cultural Center which is to serve as a strong connection in-between two parts of our nation, also discussed and established guidelines for further joint cooperation of the Committee and the Sovereign Military Order of the Dragon, especially those concerning the assistance to the most vulnerable Serbs residing at the Kosovo and Metohija.

Official ceremony of the laying down of the fundaments for this facility was attended by the representatives of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, representatives of local self-governments from the northern Kosovo; whilst the greeting and gratitude speech to the guests from Republic of Srpska was delivered by Mr. Radenko Nedeljkovic, Head of the Kosovsko-mitrovacki County.
