For this occasion, a wooden cross is put in the river 33 meters from the river bank. People dive in the cold river and swim to touch the Holy cross. RESCUE OF THREATENED INDIVIDUALS IN KOSOVO, APRIL 2014.

Mrs. Natasa Markovic (64), the only remaining Serb in the village of Brezanik, near the city of Pec was attacked by the Albanians in the night of the 13th of April. In fear for life, she was forced to hide in the forest which surrounds the village. Albanian policemen of the Kosovo Police refused to help her when she gave them a call. Fortunately, Mrs Markovic had the telephone no. of the regional command of the Sovereign Military Order of the Dragon since several months ago, our Order helped her with the humanitarian aid in one of our projects. Mr. Momcilo Arlov, regional commander for Kosovo immediately took the action and organized the rescue mission. At the end of the action, Mr. Arlov contacted directly Mr. Vulin, as well as the EULEX mission. The result of his engagement is a relative security of Mrs Markovic who was given two Serbian policemen from the police station of Gorazdevac to protect her.Despite the fact that this brave lady lives alone in the extremely hostile environment, after this night she told us: “They keep repeating to me where Belgrade is, but I know very well where I was born.”Sovereign Military order of the Dragon will keep following the situation about Mrs. Markovic.
